Vision and Mission

Our vision is that through our efforts, we will participate in the building, nourishing, and nurturing community through establishing and growing urban gardens.

GrowLocal Lafayette’s mission is to support and encourage urban gardening through action, education, and organization, and in turn, enhancing community and quality of life throughout our neighborhoods.

Core Values

Our core values are to:

  • Conduct organizational pursuits in an ethical, sustainable manner
  • Develop and share best practices across the urban gardening network
  • Educate and inspire healthful attitudes and actions
  • Provide access to healthy food and resources
  • Encourage use of vacant city spaces in a sustainable, healthy way
  • Instill stewardship, pride, and ownership in building healthy communities
