Giving Tuesday

We are nearly halfway through our 30-day fundraising campaign and are making a BIG push between now and the end of the day Tuesday, November 29. Tuesday is not just any Tuesday; it’s Giving Tuesday, the biggest day of the year for online giving.

Our friends at SeedMoney, the nonprofit hosting our fundraising campaign, have an additional, time-sensitive grant we’d love to win: a $400 gift card to Gardeners Supply Company that we could really use for buying tools and supplies.

All you need to do to enter us into the running for that grant is make a donation of any amount to our campaign here:

On Wednesday, SeedMoney will randomly choose one donor as the lucky winner. If you happen to be that person, not only will you win a $400 gift card for us, but also a $100 gift card for yourself. Thanks for supporting our work!

Grateful for Your Support

Thanksgiving offers a moment to reflect on and be grateful for our many blessings over the past year. In the case of GrowLocal Lafayette Urban Gardens Network, it’s been a very bountiful year indeed!  Here are just a few things we are grateful for:

  • New raised garden beds at LTHC/Lincoln Center
  • 50-60 PU Student volunteers during Spring Bash
  • Hosting a field trip for 70+ 2nd graders from Miller School at Foot Bridge Sharing Garden

None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the generous support of our volunteers and donors. If you would like to provide some support of your own, our garden project is participating in the #SeedMoneyChallenge, a 30-day fundraising challenge here:

In addition to keeping 100% of the funds we raise from individuals like you, we have a chance to win a challenge grant from $100 to $1000 from SeedMoney based on how much we raise during the 30-day period running from Nov 15 to Dec 15.

No gift is too small. They all add up and move us closer to our goal. Thank you for whatever donation your budget allows and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
